Highlands County 2021 "County-Held" Tax Certificate Sale
If you are new to the Realauction tax certificate sale web sites, we recommend you proceed in the following fashion:
A) Review the Process - If you are not completely familiar with the statutes governing tax liens and certificates in this state, read the “Tax Certificate Process” document located at the left of the home page. It is a plain English summary of the statutes and will only take a few minutes to read.
B) Register - In order to participate in the County-held sale, you must register on this site to obtain a Username, Password and Bidder Number. If you have not previously registered online with Highlands County, please click Here. The registration wizard will guide you through the process in just a few minutes.
C) Set up your bank information - Once logged in, on the left side of your screen, click on the "Provide Bank Information" button to enter the bank information to be used for your purchases.
D) Purchase Certificates - After you have completed your research, you may click the “Buy Now” button beginning on the date indicated below to select the certificate(s) you wish to purchase. After confirming your purchase, an ACH request will be sent in the amount of the face value of the certificate(s). That certificate(s) is now yours pending the successful transfer of funds. Please note: It is the responsibility of the purchaser to research properties prior to purchasing certificates.
E) Monthly Update - All County-held sale sites go offline the last weekday of each month at 4:00 PM ET while face values for the new month are calculated.
